LL-37

LL-37 is the only antimicrobial peptide found in the human innate immune system that belongs to the Cathelicidin family.

LL-37's main efficacy and mechanism of action: Utilizing its amphiphilic helical conformation, it directly penetrates and disrupts bacterial cell membranes via a "carpet-like" mechanism, resulting in rapid bactericidal action. As a bridge between innate and adaptive immunity, it recruits immune cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, and T cells to the site of infection to clear pathogens. It can stimulate endothelial cell proliferation and migration to promote angiogenesis and drive keratinocyte migration, accelerating the closure and reepithelialization of skin and corneal wounds.
