IGF-1 LR3
IGF-1 LR3 (full name Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-I) is a synthetic recombinant analogue of natural human insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).
Main Efficacy and Mechanism of Action of IGF-1 LR3 1. Significantly Enhanced Bioactivity • Its growth-promoting activity and receptor binding capacity are significantly higher than those of ordinary natural IGF-1. In vitro bioactivity has even been described by some literature as far exceeding the levels of ordinary insulin or natural IGF-1. 2. Significantly Extended Half-Life • Natural IGF-1 has a very short half-life in vivo (usually less than 10 minutes); while IGF-1 LR3, due to its difficulty in binding to IGF-binding protein (IGFBP) in vivo, has a half-life extended to approximately 24 hours (one day), thus allowing it to exert its effects more persistently in the circulatory system. 3. Promotes Protein Synthesis and Inhibits Protein Degradation • It can enhance the efficiency of cellular utilization of amino acids and glucose, promote protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues, and reduce protein degradation.
